Back in Paradise!

I'm sitting at my messy desk at home typing my second blog ever! lol. It's hot and muggy. I'm sweating despite wearing nothing but boardshorts (we're about to head out for some surf!). Some 80's song is playing on the radio...

Anyway, my room is sooooo SOOOOOO cluttered and messy because i have yet to entirely unpack all my junk. I guess it kinda serves as a metaphor to my life at this point in time. My mind has been kinda "out there" and jumbled with all these different emotions! I left Los Angeles a week ago and miss it dearly, and life has not seemed normal since then. Perhaps it's because the city itself (LA) is so vibrant and lively that slowing down to the pace of life in Hawaii has to take some readjusting to... I can't believe I need to "reassimilate" back into my own home! Or maybe it's because there have been so many awesome people who i've met during my 4 year tenure at UCLA that I'm sad to be thousands of miles away from them... Or perhaps it's because UCLA treated me sooooo kindly and I had the time of my life that I'd never want to leave that place ever! Who would have guessed that someone would actually have withdrawals from being AT HOME?! it's crazy!!!!!!!
But like my room, my cluttered mind is slowly starting to clear. True, it's sad that one chapter in my life -- a SUPER DUPER chapter at UCLA -- has come to an end, but life goes on and does not wait for anyone. Hence, we must look forward (and i'm slowly opening up to this idea). It's not bad at all to remember where you've come from and the people you've met along the way, but sulking in the past does not accomplish anything. We ALL (any of you friends who are reading this) have great things in store for us for the future! We're doing what we need to do to become successful in life! So, raise up your glasses... Cheers! to the friendships, our graduation, and the bright future that life has in store for us! :0)

take care, all! God bless! 'til next time...
